Chapter 4

Soon it came to 1500, I was starting to get excited but very nervous, ‘what if he does not show…’

I spent the half an hour before he was due to arrive on the internet checking personal emails and such like.

I tend to check a lot of blogger sites scouting for talent. One regular site that I look at is called ‘Hockey for the Ladies’, the lady who writes it, Stephanie, is a big fan of hockey and posts a lot of informative articles and she also keeps up to do date with some good fan fiction stories that I can use for scouting. When I was still back in Scotland she bought a hockey top for me and posted it over because most websites would not post them internationally. I still sometimes post under my username that she knows me under but I also have another one that I can use for scouting. This site is where I first met Lorna when I tried to get her to publish her story which still by the way remains unpublished.

The title of the post that Stephanie had done today was ‘TK has a good night on the town!!’ and it read:

“Bonus points will be offered to the first reader who can tell me who the lucky lady is that was pictured leaving a local club with our one and only Tyler Kennedy. Someone has managed to catch the eye of the young man who has not previously been pictured with a girlfriend. He has previously been quoted saying that he finds it difficult to trust girls and that he will not be seen with a puck bunny. All thoughts and information welcome on who our mystery lady is.”

Beside her statement was a picture of TK and I holding hands and smiling for the camera as we left the club.

I read the comments and they varied from very good and very bad, some saying that I was just another blonde bimbo, some saying that I was very pretty and they wished they were the ones in the picture with TK.

One comment read:

“You girls better not bitch about this lady – she is Gill Robertson, the owner and sole director of the multi-million dollar profit making publishing company Robertson Publishing and rumour has it she uses this site to check out fanfics, the rumour mill also says that she has already offered contracts to some bloggers. She is beautiful, smart, extremely physically fit and I think she will be so good for TK, I think she will make him very happy.”

The post was made anonymously and it actually made me smile.

Knock Knock!!

“Come in.”

The door opened and TK walked in wearing a navy suit with a light blue shirt and a blue silk tie and in his hand was a gorgeous bunch of yellow roses.

‘WOW he looks amazing! Say something Gill, say something, stop staring, Gill say something.’

“Hey gorgeous, how are you today? How was training?” I ask as I smile at him and get up to go around the other side of my desk.

“Training was good and I am very well thank you, how are you? These are for you.” He hands me the flowers and gives me a small kiss on the lips, once again I got tingles down my spine, no other guy has managed to have this affect on me before.

“Thank you, they are lovely.” I say as I take the flowers from him. “I am very well thanks.”

“You look stunning Gill.” TK announces as that nervous look crosses his face again.

“Thank you, you scrub up well yourself.”

“I thought your receptionist was going to faint when she saw me coming through the doors, it was quite funny, she had to balance herself so as not to fall off her chair. I hope you don’t mind but I autographed a photo for her.”

I gave TK a tour of the office block introducing him to some of my staff and we ended up back at my office again.

“This place is great you have done so well for yourself. I did as you suggested and did some research on the company and you are huge! It is great – well done.”

“Thanks, I still sometimes can’t believe how things have turned out but I am very pleased.”
