Chapter 13

Lorna and I quickly got a bite to eat before we headed into town to meet Vero and the other girls.

“Hey girls” Vero gives us both a hug.

“I was watching the news before I came out and they cut over to the press conference. You must be so happy Gill that is big stuff. Robertson Publishing is huge. I am so pleased for you.”

“Thanks Vero. I don’t think it has sunk in yet but I am over the moon, this could lead to Robertson Publishing being the biggest publishing company in the world. I can’t believe that my company is this big in less than a year of trading.

We all shopped for a few hours and all I bought was a t-shirt for Tyler, before going our separate ways we agreed to meet up before the game tomorrow and I said that everyone could come back to my house this time.

I started to head home when I remembered that I should be going to Tylers, I am so stupid sometimes, I think that is why I was born blonde.

I rang the door bell but walked in before TK answered.

“Hey gorgeous, where are youuuuu?” I shout as I wonder through the maze of rooms.

“I am in the kitchen preparing dinner, come to the back on the house.” I hear him shout from the distance.

I follow his voice as I look about the rooms seeing photographs and trophies everywhere, I spend a few moments looking at the different things that he has done while growing up, ‘he was such a cute child’.

“Hey hunny, how are you?” He asks as he leans over the kitchen work top to give me a kiss.

“I am good thanks how are you?” I place my bags down on the kitchen table kicking my shoes off and sitting on one of the bar stools.

“I am good thanks, I am making lasagne for dinner, is that ok?”

“Yeah fine thanks.

“I have asked everyone to come round to my house tomorrow night after the game, hope that is ok?”

“That’s brilliant thanks Gill, you are a star.

“We are doing some extra training on Thursday afternoon before we catch our flight so I was wondering if you would like to take the morning off work and spend some time with me before I go away.”

“I have actually taken the day off anyway I have something I need to do in the afternoon.”

We sat talking about the take over and the press conference and about his training and game day regime and such like. We ate his delicious home made lasagne and I washed up.

We spent the rest of the evening talking before heading off to bed.

The following morning Tyler woke up as I was getting out of bed.

“I don’t know what to do this morning Tyler, I usually go for a run and a swim but I don’t know the area and you don’t have a swimming pool.”

I start to move away from the bed when Tyler pulls me back down and starts kissing me passionately, his lips soft against mine, his tongue gently massaging my own. I pull away but his kisses move down my neck.

“Hey hey TK, remember the one condition you gave me…”

“Hmm, I know but I find you so irresistible.”

“Well you gave me the condition so I am going to stick to it.” I laugh as I manage to break free from his grasp and get up heading towards the bathroom to take a shower.

“Can I at least join you for a shower then?”

“As long as you behave” I answer laughing at him.

The one condition TK gave me was that we don’t have sex on game day so I am determined to abide by that.

We went for a shower together and I got dressed for work while TK made breakfast.

“Good morning again gorgeous.” I say sitting down at the dinner table with the fruit salad and yogurt that Tyler handed me.

“I forgot when I came in last night that I bought you something when I was shopping. The receipt is in the bag if you don’t like it, I just thought it was cool.”

He grabs the bag from the table and pulls the t-shirt out and smiles when he looks at it.

“Thanks Gill, that is great.”

We talked for a while longer before we both head off to work agreeing that he will just see me at my house after he finishes with the press after the game, I wouldn’t bother waiting around for him.
